Illumination

This blog explores the intersections of Islamic spirituality, psychology, and intentional living.

Rooted in the tradition of tazkiyah (self-purification) and guided by the Qur’an and Sunnah, I write to illuminate the internal path: the struggle to refine the self, align with divine purpose, and live with ihsan (excellence) in a world of distraction and distortion. My reflections draw from classical Islamic scholarship, behavioral science, and lived experience.

I come to this work as a seeker—someone who spent years asking difficult questions, walking through other spiritual traditions, and ultimately returning to Islam as the path that brought clarity, coherence, and connection to the Divine.

With a background in habit coaching, I’m especially interested in the practical application of sacred knowledge: how we transform through small, consistent actions; how we can reshape the self by aligning intention, thought, and deed; and how to root that change in sincerity.
Whether you’re exploring Islamic psychology, seeking spiritual growth, or simply trying to live with more presence and purpose—I’m glad you’re here 🙂
